Fish, is it nutritious or poisonous for human consumption? That is the big question today, but no simple answer to be found. I just ran across information stating how healthy fish is to eat.

  • excellent source of low fat protein
  • reduce risk of heart disease, diabetes and other chronic illnesses

Then it goes on to say how harmful eating fish can be to your health.

  • mercury
  • PCBs
  • harmful to fetuses and developing children

This is scary, they go on to say that you cannot see, smell, or taste the mercury or PCBs in your fish. Any fish bought at the store or caught on your last fishing trip could contain these contaminants.

Oh my, my children went from playing Go Fish to my old favorite card game “Rummy”. They realy are growing up and do you know the youngest child seems to win more often that not and has even kept up with her newly acquired math skills of adding, she is the “Score Keeper”. Wouldn’t her second grade teacher be proud to know she taught her well.

I sure wish I had checked into this information about Mars looking as big as the full moon on August 27th, 2007 before I went out to find it. Gee, how disappointing to search and find it is not true!

I found these sites with some interesting info on the subject:

Read these and decide for yourself.

Well, my calendar is marked for the BIG event Monday night August 27th. It’s going to be so cool to see Mars as big as the moon, oh, did I mention that the moon will be full? That is going to make it look like we have two moons in the sky, wow just like in the Scifi movies! I wonder if they will be at all close to one another? Pray for no clouds…I don’t want to miss this.

Our lawn was almost all brown just a few weeks ago, so we began to water it a little every few days. I don’t know what kind of grass this is growing in our yard, but you can watch it turn green as you water. Now it is as green as all the neighbors who watered everyday.

I have seen lawns that stayed brown till late Autumn, so to me this is just amazing. Maybe it has more to do with the type of soil than the type of grass.

The night is dark after the sun goes down, but the sky is full of light and much activity. The stars and planets shine bright above as the moon travels by through the dark night sky.

Food is fuel for our bodies, we need to eat. There is a lot of information on when to eat, what to eat, and how much of what when. OK, I like good healthy food…fresh fruit…vegatables…nuts…fish. Thats all good for you! Right? Or is it?

Wow! What a trip. Yesterday I got my very first blog up and sort of running, then had to leave to run an errand. So, today I tried to login to my new blog and couldn’t find a way to login! I had no link, no button or a clue as to how I was going to login. Well, as you can see I figured it out and changed my theme to this one for now…it will have to do…at least there is a login link…lol.

This is my first attempt at blogging. The other day I was presented with the chance to start a blog of my own. OK, pick a subject and a name…hmmm. I couldn’t decide on just one subject, and so decided to go with many subjects that I think about briefly through out my busy day. So, www.briefremarks.com was born on August 10th, 2007.
